Na, you got it all wrong. Football (soccer's such an ugly slur)is a game of two teams (11 players each), 2 goals, 1 ball and 4 refs. They play each other for 90 min.(2x 45 min.)in a stadion with a grass field and in the end... the Germans win :(, Cheers...:)(ps: I'm not German, so you know I'm not making this up.)
